I just realized that there is a little diagram inside the viewfinder that tells me which way I need to adjust focus to get it right! Its fantastic. Really helps with Manual focus!
Just thought I would share another innovative feature of my Nikon!
The D200 has it. It's just the autofocus light, lights up? Doesn't tell you which way to focus though.
huh? would you like to explain more?
see the two little triangles next to the focus confirmation dot (bottom left - 5)
It tells you which way you should turn your focus ring to get the focus correct. It's very useful and helps you manual focus a lot quicker.
Of course the direction would probably be wrong if you are using the 3rd party lenses with the opposite focus ring direction.
It's a feature that was only avaiable on the flagship Nikon DSLR before.. oh and some of the film SLR like F6, F70..etc
Its actually really useful in getting focus right with MF lenses. In the past, I would focus slightly off and it would ruin a shot. But with this handy new feature, I can go back to using MF and the body will tell me if I am in focus! Great!!!
