Nice shots! I heard it rains alot there, you are lucky to have a clear and nice day!

Lol, the only day that was clear and sunny was the last day, shown in the phot of the lupins. All the other photos were taken the day after it had stopped pouring. The day I took the photos of Milford we were booked on a cruise of Milford Sound, 1/2 hour into the cruise we turned back due to rough conditions.

#4 is quite special, never seen a waterfall photo like this before

I'm going to South Island with my family later this year..
Thinking of whether we should go to Milford Sound or Doubtful sound. I've been to Milford Sound twice before so Doubtful sound is more attractive. but the tour to Doubtful sound is just soo expensive (we have 5 adults + 1 baby) so if it would be great if you can give me some comments comparing the two places!

The waterfall photos were taken in Doubtful sound, it was a magnificent trip as there had been quite a bit of rain for a few days before we went so the waterfalls were very evident.
We were on a smaller boat and when we were getting in close to the almost vertical faces where the waterfalls were you could almost touch the rock face.........well if you had longgggg arms. The boat trip is also quite a bit longer than Milford and I saw more seals etc than in Milford also.
I think the trip is very worth it and have often thought of doing an overnight trip to see if I could get some nice suset or surise photos.

One other thing I would like to do is go back when there is some snow on the tops.......especially Mitre Peak.
