HI everybody. as i coming to N family, i need to start looking for lens.

for sure i does not have enough money to go for all N family lens.Well, not at the moment. so i looking for some third party lens that value for money.

according to the thread from CTM, the Tamron 28-75 is perform pretty OKEY...

so i start targeting at Tamron now. my other friend had used 17-55 F2.8 on a Canon 40D body. which perform pretty well also. Therefore, i would like to ask anyone here had used this lens. or if anyone had read this lens's review.

would like to get some more info and comment about this Tamron 17 - 55 F2.8.

Thank you very much
Tamron A16 17-50 f/2.8 (not 55) is quite good.
i haven't use one myself but it has pretty good reputation as a affordable and good quality replacement to the factory kit lens

Just remember it's a APS-C lens, while the 28-75 is a FF lens

Maybe someone who has got/used one can give some feedbacks?
Tamron just annonuced a new 17-50 f/2.8 lens with VC:

Its a pity its only a DX lens!
I've used a 17-50 f/2.8 on my friends 40D, it's a very nice lens sharp and fast. It IS a dx lens though, so might need to be replaced in the future. I was considering the 17-50 to the sigma 24-60mm, both are f/2.8. Ended up with the sigma as it's a FX lens and that it has a 67mm filter size, so you'll need to buy a whole new set of filters when you buy that super sexy nikkor 24-70 f/2.8.
