What tripod do you use?

I use a Manfrotto 190xprob. Its great tripod, it can go real low and its centre column can be adjusted to be horizontal.

I also have a 488RC2 head. Its a ball-head, strong and has a quick release system. I would like a pistol grip like the 322RC2. I think this is much quicker to adjust than a ball head. Slightly larger though.

I use a Manfrotto 055MF3 (carbon fibre version of 055X ProB) with 804RC2 3 way head.
and a Manfrotto 682B self standing Monopod with 488RC2 ball head

i have looked at the 322RC2 before as well and i was quite interested in it as well.. but i found out when you release the trigger and locks it, it shifts the position a bit so doesn't work well if you want very precise adjustment.

I just found that the 322 / 222 allows you to adjust quickly especially when shooting in a rush or portraits. Just aim and release!

I love the new Carbon Fibre range from Manfrotto. Pity they cost so much! 055CXPRO3 ....... 1.65kg!!
