Beijing?
I like #1 the most! Nice shots! THanks for sharing!
welcome!
I love the colour and contrast in your photos..And most of your photos got decent composition. But i find a few of them seem lacking the "focus". For example, the photo that you looking down from a building (i guess?) . what is the main focus of the photo? There are a lot of empty space in that photo. Zoom/Crop closer if your focus is the guy psuhing that trolley.
Another suggestion is, when you are taking landscape/building photos, make sure the horizon is level. For example the last photo's horizon is quite a bit off..
but apart from that, your photos are quite nice!! thanks for sharing them with us.
hey yellow 15, cheers for the comment
ya i find the common problem when looking back at my photos, there isnt a clearcut "subject" in the pic. i.e. the focus
still trying to learn to use the cam to my advantage,
i had D60 b4, wif the AE/AF lock button,
i use to lock the AE only, and can refocus
with my D90 now, even wen i set to "AE LOCK ONLY"
it locks both the focus + exposure..
how do i just lock the AE n not focus.
about your lacking the "focus" problem, i guess this is something we all have problem with. But my suggestion is, before you press the shutter button, give yourself a few seconds to really LOOK at what you can see in the viewfinder. Think about what is the main focus of your photo? is the main subject too small in the photo? if you move/zoom closer would it help improve the focus of the photo? But remember Zoom in is not always the best thing to do, sometimes the surrounding objects help tell the story so zoom out a bit and includes more background can help improve the focus.
re the AE lock only..
you should be able to do the same thing with your D90..
if you set Menu "F4" to AE lock only
then, press and HOLD the AE-L/AF-L button to lock the exposure.
and keep holding the AE-L/AF-L button, compose the picture.. now half click the shutter to focus. recompose again if you want (and remember still holding down the AE-L/AF-L button) then full click the shutter button to take the photo.
i don't have a D90 with me so can't confirm, but this should work .. if it doesn't then please let us know again, and tell us what settings you got and how you do the AE lock.
there are a few D90 users on the forum i'm sure we can help you
