arcspace: no tripod. just handheld and testing what's the max exposure time i can handheld it

the picture is actually a bit blurry if you look at it at 100%. but at size resolution it's better
ctm: it's on queenstreet. Quite close to DFS galleria actually. The ND4 is a screw on one. (Thanks Joseph!!)
Oh you reminded me! i actually got a Cokin drop in filter set that i used to use with my film SLR... I should dig it out and play with it! now.. where is my film SLR!!???
Day 30 - Finale
It's the 30th Sept and it's the last photo for my "Sept 30 photos" set. Weather has been quite bad this week and today's no exception. It was raining and very windy as well when i took this photo. But like i said before, a bit of rain won't threaten me or my trusty D700.
Since the sky looks really boring, I used the tree branches to frame the photo. The bench in the foreground was under the tree and it was a lot darker than the background. So I used the built-in flash (at manual mode full power without any modifer) as a fill flash to brighten it up a bit and allow us to see some details and texture of the bench. Manual Mode f/13 to get a large depth of field Shutter speed set at 1/250s and ISO200.
WB set to 10000k to warm up the photo a bit. Straight JPG from camera.
I really like the mood.
Did you intentionally add the lens flare?
Thanks. No it's actually rain drops on the lens
the 50mm 1.4G's small lens hood actually did a very good job in protecting the front glass from the rain. but i was sitting/lying there for about 5 minutes and it was really really windy there (i can't hold the camera still for more than 5 seconds) so eventually there were quite a few drops of rain on the glass.
I feel so happy that i managed to finish this set of 30 photos. It was really a lot harder than i initially thought it could be. I had quite a number of ideas on my mind when i began but a lot of these ideas couldn't be implemented in the end because of either hardware, or skills or time limitation problems.
And at the beginning of the 3rd week, i was really struggling as i almost run out of ideas. But lucky i managed to do a few shots i quite like and then finally made it thru to the end!
Thanks a lot for viewing my 30 random photos of September 2009!
Awesome set of photos. I think you did very well. You still manage to keep it quite creative. Good stuff.
I promise to do the same with my 1.8D.
Perhaps in December.
great photos!
