Day 12 - Where's the chicken?
This is the same place where i took my day 4 photo and I went there again today after lunch with my daughter. I saw this cute little girl with her family and i took this snapshot of her. Camera was in aperture priority mode at f/1.4. Matrix metering. I cropped the photo slightly as i was standing a bit too far away when I took this photo. Otherwise, just straight JPG from camera with no other adjustments.
I like the composition, apart from the white-ish curve along the road.
Also feel the highlights are a little bid burned out on her face.
Good capture though.
Perhaps crop a little tighter and see what that looks like, i.e. eliminate the curve in the road and crop after the last pigeon on the left.
thanks for your comments. yes the background would be a lot cleaner if the curved road was not there. But then it was a candid shot so i didn't really have much time/flexiblity to do this shot. If i have a bit more time, i would walk closer to the little girl and shoot from a lower angle.
Well, I can probably photoshop out the road easily and adjust the curve a bit as well. But i really want to keep editing at minimal level for all the pictures i post under this thread so yeah just like my other photos under this thread, these are a few more flaws i have to live with

excellent capture! well executed, excellent lighting!
Good day to capture shots like this today as the sky was overcast!
Good metering too I must say...
Looking good as usual

I think its great as it is.

I like it. 1/8-1/15 is very slow, you did well! Refering to day 11.
Day 12, nice shot. The road doesnt bother me at all. You are dealing with kids, you just have to take!
Day 13 - Eerie
I shot with a slow 1/10 second shutter speed when i was walking down this alley. The slow shutter speed combined with intentionally underexposing the photo by 1.33EV to create the eerie and mysterious feeling. Straight B&W JPG from camera
Isn't that walking towards Queen Street with that Chinese food place on your right called Continental.
CTM: yes you are correct.
ArcspaceE: Thanks!
