Day 22 - Japan



Where am i? Standing under these sakura trees, i suddenly thought i'm in Japan!
It was a sunny day but with quite a bit of clouds in the sky. I waited until the sun comes out from behind the clouds and took this picture. Matrix metering and dialed in a -1/3EV exposure compensation to preserve some highlight details. AWB with WB fine tune to slightly magenta to improve the colour saturation of the sakura.

Day 23 - Happy Birthday My Dear



23rd Sept last year was one of the most important date in my life. My daughter Mika was borned at Auckland Hospital. We spent whole day today celebrating her first birthday. This is just one of the photo i took in the morning Shot at f/1.4 with +1/3EV (but end up still too dark) Converted from RAW to JPG in Lightroom with some basic exposure/curve adjustments to bring up the brightness.
Happy birthday my dear daughter!

Manual Mode f/3.5 1/20s ISO3200 is used to minimse the exposure time. Custom WB
