Copied from Yellow15, I will give it a go as well!
September 2009
1 photo a day
Only use my 50mm lens with my D700.
Focus : Creativity in the form of composition, post processing, creative lighting with / without flashes.
No topics or other rules.. I may take a photo of my breakfast or my shoe or a photo of my friend. It can be anything. Nothing serious, just for fun.
Day #1 - 1 Sept 2009
To come
September 1st!
Dusk taken from my balcony. Red skies with some spill over light hitting the railing.

nice photo. the balcony looks familar!! he he
September 2nd.
I got some tickets to go watch a baseball game tonight, so I thought I would post up todays shot first.
This picture took a very very long time to get right. I had to drop the glass with one hand and catch it with the other hand. The results of failure would be beer and glass all over the floor. I also had to get the timing and focus correct.
The setup was simple with a SB600 on camera left fired via CLS with a GOBO to stop light splashing on to the wall. The illuminated background, I came to realized was from the D700's onboard flash and not the SB600! I will have to revert back to using Wireless triggers for dark room work.
Bring on Day 3!
haa cool one!!!
if your camera's too close to the background, then yes there will be some light from the built-in flash even if you set it to OFF. You can try set it to manual and minumum power (i heard it works but haven't try it myself).. or easier is just to put a piece of black tape in front of the flash to block the front light?
Nobody spotted the major mistake I made with Day 2 shot????????
This is Day 3
Where all the photos get the little extra magic touch to make them POP!
haa! i saw the mistake now!
Don't worry you live in Japan so it's okay to make mistake like that.
whats the mistake? I see an odd shape on the left hand side probably due to the flash... Is it the wallet that gives your photos that magic touch
