I've been playing around with a sound activated trigger and an old SB24 flash ....

this is wicked!
That is like something they would do at Time Warp from the discovery channel!

Desmond, how many water balloons did you go through?

Were you in rear sync flash? I see your shots were at 2".

Nice shots! Very creative, I like #2 and #5 the most!
What shutter is that?

Basically this can be done with any camera ! The camera and flash are totally separate - you set the camera for a two second exposure , F8 , iso 200 - depending how much time you have to trigger the flash .
The flash is triggered by a sound activated switch and set at 1/16th power .
It fires in 1/11000th sec which is what captures the action .
You could even wire up a mechanical switch like I've done in the past ....

I used the food colouring once because it was messy

The " rose "

I wasn't really too impressed with these shots - not enough shape to them

I tried to shoot low but it was too low

I moved too close to the mic and got a shot of a pellet about to hit the cup ....

This style of plastic cup distorts a bit much ....

And the last of the boring shots ....

I went back to shooting balloons because I wasn't too happy with the reults of these plastic cups ...

too soon !

Food coloring !

Then the landlord came past on his quad bike and said " Don't you think you should use safety goggles ? " , and I said " Well allright then " ....
I'm not quite seeing it :confused::confused: maybe someone can explain :biggrin::biggrin:

Hahahaha. Nice shots! How about a 0.50 cal round through a can of coke or something or a concrete block? 0.50 might be a bit hard to find, how about 303?
