but if Nikon release a white DSLR, will you get it?

NO way! It would get dirty so quickly. Most people who buy a D3 would use it rather frequently and in all conditions. The D3 will turn from white to brown rather fast!

I have seen lots of white Macs with like black smudges all over them.

I would still prefer black.

It looks quite cool and different.
but looks stupid with black lens

and i can imagine what it would look like just after a few months (brown/greyish yeek...)
