It says it will not degrade image quality. I personally think it will. But who knows, this could be a real advancement in technology.
You will spend your time cleaning the dust shield instead of the sensor I guess. Would be easier to clean though.
But in my limited experience with sensors, I have found that the automatic sensor cleaner to be very effective! NO dust issues at all with the sensor cleaner and a well sealed body.
