Hi guys,

I'm looking for a new camera bag for traveling/general purpose and was hoping someone here could help me out! I have a couple of bags now 1 is a Kata that can be made into a backpack or a sling but it's only big enough for carrying a small amount of gear for "just incase I want to take a photo" situations. The other is a sling which isn't comfortable enough for a long trip.

My requirements for a bag are:
- 40D
- 70-200 2.8. Preferably the bag will be big enough to take the 40D with this mounted up.
- Definitely 2 more lenses say a 24-105 + a wide and maybe a 50mm f/1.4
- 1 flashgun.
Pretty much a standard travel kit? I guess I could leave the 70-200 at home but it would be nice it if fitted.

I want this bag to be used as a traveling bag when i'm going overseas so I'm gonna a little extra room to fit my travel wallet (passport, cash , documents etc), ipod + headphones, maybe a PSP for the plane etc. Since I'm gonna be traveling too I would prefer something thats not ridiculously huge and definitely has to be able to be carried on.

Also has to be a backpack as since I'm likely to be wearing this thing every day for 1-2 weeks it needs to be comfortable.

I've been looking around and so far I've been liking the look of that Lowepro flipside - it looks great for security, but I'm not sure what size and also it looks like a real pain to get any gear out.

Has anyone used this bag, or does anyone have any recommendations about what might be a good bag to use? I was thinking surely a lot of people here must travel with their cameras!
I have not used one, but the lowepro flipside design looks quite nice.
and here is a video i found:
Have you considered the Computrekker/Computrekker Plus?
Hey DCD,
have you check out Think Tank's backpacks?
They have quite a few very nice backpacks.

And you maybe interested in this one?

Ah thanks for the link wrong and CTM. I found that cambags.com on this forum it's a great site.

I'll look up Computrekker today when I get a chance thanks ArcspacE
Haha funny you mention yellow15 I played with a rotation360 in a shop the other day. It's very weird. does what it's supposed to though. I think it's a little small though, also very expensive. I think it's over/around $400NZD in local shops!
Please take a look at the Lowepro Slingshot AW200 or AW300. They are well designed an allow easy access without removing the pack from your shoulder. Just slide towards your chest/stomach area to get your camera and lens. I think it's a great feature to have when traveling and don't have room to or are wary of laying your bag down to get that quick photo. Happy travels with your camera,
vw
Get something comfortable, it looks like you are carrying quite alot of weight with the 70-200 and 24-105.
Ah yes a friend has the Slingshot. I have bad shoulders/neck though, so a single shoulder bag is not really an option for me. I'll be in bits after the first day.

Yeah I have to go and test out some bags for comfort I guess. Didn't get a chance to on the weekend. Hopefully I will this weekend.
Camera Bags are like Tripods.
Good quality maybe be expensive but they can last forever!

I say get one that is comfortable and good quality even if it is expensive
