Got one of these little guys recently - really impressed so far. Light yet sturdy - Love it. Main use if for my 'Bigmos' although it can be quite versatile.
Great value for money it seems.

Couldn't justify paying triple for the magfibers.

Quality finish and good built quality.

Will post a few pics as soon as I can. I promise.

thanks for the review and yeah some photos of the tripod would be great!
It's technically a monopod. Big Grin
But will post a few soon.
haa yes i mean your monopod
The 681B is an excellent monopod and I believe it's sturdy enough to handle the really big telephotos. Just an FYI. Manfrotto makes an accessory that fits in the foot of the monopod so that you can use it like a tripod in a pinch. 3 short legs extend out to allow it to stand on it's own. It can be used in locations where they have lots of people and don't allow tripods, such as a museum. See the link for more info.

arcspace: thanks for the review!

velvia world: yeah i have the Manfrotto 682B Self Standing Monopod which comes with the extendable legs. While i won't trust it to hold my camera by itself, I find it quite handy under a lot of different situations.

I would not trust it with a camera body and a good lens either, especially in a crowd. But if you need some stability for a low light situation and are close enough to catch it if it tips, then it might be worth the shot. Wink

Hey fellas, I've posted a few pics further up.
Please excuse my poor 'lighting' atempt. Played with my SB900 remotely, etc.
