I have heard alot about lightroom but have actually never tried it. The past few days I was bored and downloaded the portable version, and now love it. It's so much easier to work with and the speed I can go through photos now is breath taking.

It really is an easy program to use and it makes bulk processing so much easier. I was looking at tutorials on youtube on the cool tricks you can do in it and it's pretty neat. E.g. softening skin in portraits and masking. Much easier than photoshop and much faster than NX2.

But it doesn't replace either PS or NX2 because there are limitations to the depth of editting you can carry out. If you're looking for a program to process all your photos with ease and speed, well lightroom is amazing.

I know lots of you are already on it, but for those who aren't, go get it! Unless you have another amazing program, then please do share with us Big Grin Till then, I'll be a happy Lightroom user.

Next up: Topaz image adjuster!

P.s. if anyone wants lightroom portable, just give me a PM and i'll pass you the link.
Whats the difference from normal LIghtroom and Portable??

I use light room for bulk editing, its fast and great. But for RAW, I still prefer NX2. But I still use PS alot ! haha
for quick or bulk editing, Lightroom is just awesome!
The only bad thing is it's quite expensive as well and you need a relatively fast computer to run it smoothly

Portable is so you can run it off your flash drive or computer without installing it. I find it faster and more convenient and sometimes I do my photo processing at uni.
lightroom is the greatest invention in the world since photoshop came out!
