Anyone here use Auto ISO as well?

I never use this feature on my previous cameras as the useable ISO range is not really that great.

but with D700's wide usable ISO range, i decided to give it a try and find the auto ISO become a very very useful feature that i use very often now.

I normally just set the camera to aperture mode, set the minimum shutter speed and let the camera to handle the ISO for me. One less thing to worry about when you are shooting events/action shots!!

Or if i want more control, I set the camera in full manual mode, set the aperture and shutter speed i want, and let the camera adjust the ISO for me!!!

So anyone usehere auto ISO as well?
I use it as well , " you can fix noise but you can't fix motion blur " .
I just wish Nikon would add a "MA" button so you could switch to that if you wanted to control shutter speed and aperture and
let auto iso control the iso and when you switch to "M" it should automatically disable auto-iso .
I have never used auto ISO. It seems like a very useful feature if you are shooting things on the go at events! I might give it a try.
I use auto ISO as well. When I go into M mode, i change my shooting bank
i use auto iso all the time, its one of the best feature for d700 i reckon. normally i leave it upto iso 6400.

Yes i agree, combined with D700's wide ISO range, it's definitely one of D700's best feature!
