I have just been surfing the net and had a look at the video from the Canon 5D MK II called "Reverie" by Vincent Laforet. http://www.usa.canon.com/dlc/controller?...cleID=2326

Its pretty stunning considering it came from a D-SLR and not a pro HD cam. I am just curious if any of you have attempted taking anything similar with your D-SLR's?

I think the advantages of using a D-SLR is the DOF control and the large choice of lenses that can be adapted with the camera.

yeah i watched quite a few videos from various DSLRs they look very impressive.

I'm now waiting for the next generation of DSLR with more mature video features.

I totally agree with you. That video "Reverie" by Vincent Laforet was amazing. I saw it when Canon or some other site had a link to it. It just illustrates that DSLR's can included HD video capabilities without sacrificing quality to either. I wish Nikon would introduce 1080p HD video capability to the D700 or similar.
