and the video

Desmond,
Congratulations. Your project is a success. I can see the potential for some unique photographs.

I just watched the video. You are very innovative. Thanks for sharing it.

If the remote is set to fire when it receives power, it would be able to more than 1 exposure which is ideal for wildlife photographers!

Hopefully I can get it to trigger at longer distances - at the moment it needs a fairly large object reasonably close ..... but I suppose wildlife is fairly large
!

.
another great project from you desmond! you always come up with some cool ideas!
thanks for sharing!
Desmond, how about those home alarm motion sensor things? Don't they have quite a decent sensor range 5m+? They don't turn on for 20secs though. Just an idea. Big Grin

That may be my next approach , this cheap sensor doesn't have a very good range .
This is my next 'victim' . I actually need to get hold of the door sensor that chimes each time someone walks past because this thing is an alarm that needs to be reset each time .
BUT : I tested it outside in direct sunlight and it still detected me walking past 5 metres away !

And it has this plug for an external speaker - no ripping its guts out this time [ slightly disappointing but I'll live with it Wink ]
