There was a fire close to home yesterday. Times like this I really wish I had more reach. The most I had was the D90 + 70-200 which gave me a total of 300mm. Not really long enough. The next option is a 200-400 which cost an arm and leg. Maybe a 300 F4 with Teleconverters?

Don't you just hate it when you don't have enough reach?

I got to play with an old Pentax version of one of these the other day with a Canon adaptor ring.

It was pretty fun. The doughnut bokeh was quite cool and the lens is certainly cheap for the focal length and very very light and small for a 500mm lens.
