bridge shot and puddle are great!

could go a bit more saturation on the bridge shot if you wanted to be critical...

Hey guys a couple of new photo of Auckland at night.





1st is just a long exposure. Girlfriend asked me if I had HDRed it but I haven't. It's straight out of the camera
I know the 2nd one is a little blurry from movement, but I like it I think it kinda works with the craziness of the tail light lines from the other cars going everywhere.

my only crit if there had to be one is the bottom of the gear is slightly cropped.

2nd shot, i'd have been tempted to darken the midtones. really darken the overall feel and make the lights pop. fantastic capture nonetheless.

yeah for the 1st shot, i probably would prefer to zoom out a bit (or step back a few steps) so there is a bit more room between the gear and the edge of the picture.


the 2nd one you managed to keep it quite sharp for a 2sec exposure!! well done

Yeah the 1st one was an issue, I had to choose between rotating it a little and cutting the bottom of the gear off (and cutting down the space around it) or having the horizon lopsided. I can't remember exactly why I had to crop so much but I remember at the time thinking it looked better with the bottom of the gear cut rather than leave it all in.

Darken midtones on the 2nd? I may look into that. I liked the crazy neon-ness of it as it is and that may help enhance that? Will see although i'm no photoshop expert.
