Perhaps someone could give some input here .
Today I tried to extend the working range of the SU800 using a remote extender .
I'm not even getting a pre-flash .... shouldn't it be possible to do this ?
I would guess the CLS signal is too fast (infrared signal duration is too short) for a normal IR extender/device to register the signal and repeat.
Either it has filtered the signal out (noise filter?) or simply not cannot response fast enough.

Someone else suggested that perhaps it was ignoring the signal because it wasn't in the 'normal' range .
yes i agree.
Normal infrared devices send out continous/repeat signal of duration that is much longer than the signal from the SU800.
So i would assume most normal IR repeater are designed to ignore/filter out any IR signals of very short duration.
