Hey team,

I've decided to try and get some sunrise photos in about 4-5 hours (test day). I'm just wondering what settings you chaps have used in the past?

I've got some rough settings thanks to Draw (Thanks again Andy!) and some random research.

Lowest ISO possible
Aperture value: f8-f22
Shutter: (suit to aperture)
Use tripod
Don't place the horizon in the middle of the photo
Center weighted metering

Do i use a CPL or a ND grad filter? are these a must?
low ISO, use tripod
small aperture
manual mode as none of the metering mode will work because of the high contrast between the sun and background
and keep checking/changing the settings every half a minute or so as the light changes very quickly during sunset
CPL won't help as you are probably shooting straight into sun (CPL works the best when you are 90 degree from sun)
Well, I couldn't get to a place where the sun was rising, so i got this. Tomorrow i know where to go;
