DX camera + 300mm lens (or 70-300 VR) + 1.4 x TC = 630mm........ That is quite a long focal length. Why not the 1.7x or 2.0x? Well, apparently the loss in IQ is negligible with the 1.4x.

Well funny thing, I just got a sigma 2xTC and it seems to fit on my 70-300VR.
I'll let you know how it goes and post up some results!

300mm @ f5.6 * 2xTC * 1.5crop = 900mm @ f11

It is surprisingly easy to get 600+mm with a DX format camera! Looking forward to seeing all samples!!

Yellow, 800mm Ai-S and a micro 4/3......?? hahahaha ... it would look really funny! Imagine adding a 2x TC on top of that!! Watch out neighbours!
