Two weeks ago I needed a camera for some action shots of the fast walking cows. I couldn´t get a D3s camera, and I was so frustrated that I called Canon and asked them if I could borrow the new Canon s90 camera. No problem! In the kit bags were also the Canon g11 and different Canon wrist strips. Almost immediately I canceled my cooperation with Nikon as a “Nikon supporter”. I had never used Canon s90 cameras before, but after only ten minutes I got extremely satisfying results, and after 30 minutes I was convinced! Especially the s90; it was extremely small and light, and the image quality even at ISO 200 really shocked me. The following weeks I did more field tests with fast running turtles, low ISO shooting and awesome light conditions. After 50 exposures I was so happy with the image quality, sharpness and colors of my pictures from Canon s90, that I decided to sell all my Nikon gear. This was a shocking decision for me, Nikon and my photo colleagues. I´m 100% sure that this was the right decision. Image quality for me is very important, and I don´t see any reason why I shouldn´t use the best equipment available. The photographer is still the most important part of creating a photograph, but I also appreciate good equipment. I have always loved to shoot with full frame cameras like the Nikon D3 and D700 cameras. I was very disappointed when Nikon was still using the 51 AF point in its new D3s. I’ve been waiting for the D700x, but after reading the information of D700x on Nikonrumor and dpreview since the day D3x was released, I suddenly discovered that this camera is actually just a rumour. I felt cheated by Nikon and The Canon s90 has almost everything that I have been waiting for as an upgrade for my old D3.
So due to the fact that i've recently bought a Canon S90 to replace all my Nikon cameras and gears. This site will be renamed to CanonJin from today.
Thanks for all your support
