Noticed this during a photoshoot few days ago!
The neckstrap is less than 1 year old.
Can't imagine what will happen if it suddenly breaks during a photoshoot -___-
so go and check your strap today!!

Was that the original nikon strap? My trusty Smugmug strap is still going well.
I have Optech Straps. Better check them later!

Good catch on your neck strap. Could have saved you and all forum members from big repair bills later. Thanks for making us all aware of a potential problem. Will need to do periodic inspections of the neck strap.

hey guys, it's not the original neckstrap.. it's the one i bought to replace the original one as this one is slightly elastic and more comfortable than the original one..
Anyway, i think it was very lucky i checked it or i might end up having a broken D700 + 70-200 VR in 1-2 weeks time.
so yeah guys and girls, check your strap/connections periodically, don't want to hear anyone got a broken camera because of some silly problem like this..
