Oh yeah, I forgot you're in Japan
Would be hella cool if you could get them for us... but like you say. Won't be cheap. I'll have a good look around Auckland first before I start asking big favours.
Thanks for the offer though bro!
oh btw. ended up getting one of these.
http://www.blackrapid.com/
it's really good. feels much more comfortable than a neck strap and definitely more secure.
and they've just released a tripod plate fastener so you don't have to remove anything to mount onto your tripod. will have to look into getting one them one day!
I've got a black rapid RS5 as well. Love it. Could never go back to a normal camera strap now.
Seems super secure. I've walked around all day with a 5D Mk2, with a 70-200 2.8 IS II mounted up and it was perfect.
I do check the screw to make sure it's tight from time to time but it hasn't loosened off yet.
Highly recommended from me.
So finally got my order of the OP/TECH Sling Strap. Really good actually. Not as nice looking as the Black Rapid series of straps, but definately works. As for the Uni-loops for attachment, they're quite strong!
...also someone else has one now...

yes i got the OP/TECH sling strap too thank you Weegee!
only put it on last night so haven't got a chance to test it yet. But seems very nice quality strap. The only thing i don't like is the big OP/TECH logo which looks a bit ugly in my opinion LOL
Will post some comments here later after use it a bit more
i have the double black rapid strap i just love it... and with the manfrotto quick release plate add on its even better... the double strap can be used as an 1 strap too... so i have no complains
okay i've been using the OP/TECH sling strap for about 2 months now, so here are some quick comments:
What i like:
- It doesn't rely on the tripod socket., my experience tells me the tripod socket is not really the most secure way to secure a 2kg+ camera
- The uni loop is stronger than i expected and you can easily convert it to other kind of camera strip by buying some additional items from OP/TECH
- Decent quality
- Comfortable to wear and easy to use
What i don't like
- It's not the best looking camera strip in the world, the big OP/TECH logo is really ugly in my opinion.
- If you shoot in portrait mode, the strip can get in the way and block your viewfinder. Not really a big deal but when shooting events and need quick reaction time, it can slow me down a bit
- It uses quite a few plastic connectors to allow easy connection/disconnection/convert to other type of camera strip. But it also increases the chance of accident. My solution is to use some cable tie to lock those plastic connectors
Overall, it's not a perfect camera strip, but i like it and i would recommend to you guys especially if you are like me and don't trust the tripod socket
Hey yellow15, have you had a failure when using the tripod socket before? Just wondering from your comment. I've been using a Black Rapid for 6+ months now and have had no issues, but wondering if there is something I should know?
