or the Sigma 50mm f/1.4.. as you as you buy it from a shop that lets you test the auto focus properly

^^Yeah, waiting for Canon to update the 50mm f/1.4 (if/when they do it'll be very tempting).

Sigma is showing them up. Canon can't have that now can they?

Nikkor 35-70mm 2.8. Not the fastest focusing, but takes sharp images.
