Not really 'street' I know but Im still not confident enough pointing my 70-300 tank gun looking lens towards people walking the street. Haha.
Now for some rope!

nice pic, i like the composition and colours!
it really takes some time and practice to give you confidence to shoot people (especially those facing you) on street. You need to frame the photo with your eyes and mind precisely first so when you hold the camera up, you can take the photo before people even notice you. Of course you have to be familiar with your camera so you can make any changes asap if you have to.
and at least you have a 70-300 with a DX camera, which gives you 450mm equivalent range so you can shoot quite far away
with my D700, the max i got is only 200mm

few shots from H.K. trip earlier this year.

nice photos EGD, guys keep posting please! love to view more street photos
nice shots EGD, the first shot looks like a scene from a HK movie! and nice panning shot too.
but my personal favourite is the 3rd picture. Captured the mood and atmosphere very well. Nice!
btw, are you originally from HK?
Thanks guys. I am originally from Taiwan, but my wife is from HK. Every time we go back we would stay in HK for a few weeks for visiting and shopping.
