The best parts are blacked out. .... *sigh*.... hahaha
Thanks for the comments. Street photography is much more challenging than I expected, but good fun!
Thank for the tips yellow15. The bus scene was actually 2 pics I stitched together. I was using the 50mm which sometimes presented problems:
While it does have a large aperture, it doesnt have a stabilizer. Also, I couldnt capture the full scene as in the bus stop image.
I was trying to get a good depth of field, but I think in future I will use a smaller aperture.
haa yeah street photography is quite challenging. But I guess this is also where the fun comes from?
Try use the auto ISO feature so your shutter speed won't drop to too low. Normally the slowest shutter speed you can use is 1/focal length..
for example if you are using a 50mm lens, your shutter speed shouldn't drop below 1/50s or you'll easily have blurry photo because of your hand/body is not stable enough. But of course this is just a guideline, some people have very steady hands and can go a low slower (but then, the subject you are shooting will move as well)
Some of those iphone shots are pretty awesome! They'd fool me after the processing. Keep up the good work guys.
I'm quite impressed by the iPhone camera too. It's far from perfect but if you know what are the limitations and try to work within/around the limitations, you can take some pretty nice photos..
the best thing about it is i always have it with me
