We went to the Manu Aute Kite Festival yesterday which is part of the Matariki festival, Maori new year celebration.
Manu Aute is a Maori word means kites. Kite flying has a highly symbolic connection to Matariki, with kites seen as the connectors between the heavens and earth.
The weather was fantastic with a clear beautiful blue sky. Maybe it was a bit too good as there were no much wind at all.. not really good for a kite festival isn't it?

First shot with your MF 17mm Fisheye? The rest with 70-200? Fantastic shots! I like them all.

CTM: yes the first shot was taken with my good old Zenitar 16mm fisheye. the rest with my trusty 70-200 Smile
