And they rank the D7000 overall as #9
Just below the 1Ds Mk3 but just above the 5D Mk2

Colour Depth, high ISO are both improved when compare to D300s and D90. But the most surprising thing is the dynamic range, it's got 13.9 Evs dynamic range! It's better than the D3x, D3s, or 1Ds Mk3, 1D Mk4 or any camera from Nikon/Canon. The only camera that has bigger dynamic range is the Pentax K5!
Wow!

That's truly impressive. On a side note - I've only heard good things about Pentax bodies over the last few years. I think they make mighty fine cameras for a good price.
Yeah Pentax made some great bodies and very well priced too.
When you are a minor player in the DSLR market that is dominiated by the two big guys, you really have to make some great cameras and sell them at great price to stay alive.

but anyway, the D7000's dynamic range is REALLY impressive, check out the list view and sort it by "Landscape (EVs)"

and the D7000 got better D.R. than the two Fuji DSLRs and all those medium format cameras! Maybe it'll be wedding photographer's new favoruite camera?
Ken Rockwell's D7000 review is here:

http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d7000.htm

This is what he said at the end: (in his usual exaggerate way lol)

"The D7000 is Nikon's best DSLR. It handles better than any other Nikon, and has image quality second only to the $7,500 D3X, which weighs about four times as much.

The D7000 outperforms every other Nikon, and weighs less than most of them. "
This D7000 is pretty impressive. Looks like they might sell more than the D300s. For just over a $1000 US, I think that is pretty damn good pricing.

I am surprised that the D7000 has better LOW Light than the D700 at the higher ISO ranges. look here
hey CTM, the DxoMark is saying D700 has better low light performance?

Low-Light ISO:
D700: 2302 points
D7000: 1167 points

but on the other hand, the D7000 has the same colour depth and BETTER dynamic range!
My mistake, got the models mixed up. The D700 still wins in Low Light ISO.
